Nestlé
Nestlé
Founded in Switzerland in 1866, Nestlé is the world’s leading food, nutrition health and wellness company. We employ over 250,000 people and have factories or operations in almost every country in the world.
In the UK, we employ 7,000 people with factories manufacturing products such as water, confectionery, coffee, petfoods and cereals producing such brands as Kit Kat, Aero, Shreddies, Nescafé, Nesquik or Buxton water and S. Pellegrino.
Sustainability is central to Nestlé’s success, and we put business development above short-term returns. Our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility is reflected through our concept of Creating Shared Value – a belief that in order for a company to create value for its shareholders over the long term, it must bring value to society as a whole. This is reflected across our supply chain and in the many programmes and projects that Nestlé supports.
In the area of Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Nestlé is committed to continually improving the nutritional qualities of our existing products and to launch new, great tasting, products that people can easily integrate into their diets. During the last five years we have innovated or renovated more than 1800 products, whether by increasing levels of whole grain or other natural ingredients, or by removing quantities of salt, sugar, fats or artificial additives from our recipes. We have carried out this work, working closely with the Government in support of their Public Policy objectives.
